Financial Growth and Mental Health: Balancing Your Personal and Professional Life

I went to an entrepreneurship event and heard a lot about how to grow a business, develop entrepreneurial plans and strategies. Especially in this day and age where we are competing with machines. While I heard a lot about sacrifice to grow, I couldn’t help but wonder how we can slow down to grow – yes, that’s right, the opposite process. If you are in business, you are probably internally despairing at my line of thinking.
I believe that financial stability is indeed an important step towards well-being and a sense of happiness. Let's not be naive, because money affects our reality as a whole. But how can I build my financial stability without harming my mental health? Just as we need an action plan for business, we need an action plan for our mental health.
How are you investing time in relationships? How do we manage to have time for leisure? To have moments of leisure for the simple pleasure of it? There are many businesses that are growing at the expense of emotional neglect of children, relationships, and even ourselves. Many are seeking financial growth at the expense of deteriorating physical health and mental illness.
We need to talk about entrepreneurship, we need to talk about money, but even in this context, we need to create a community. It may sound cliché, but it’s true: together we are stronger. So we need to slow down to allow ourselves to look inward. And in doing so, we need to join people who see us as human beings, and not just as numbers in a bank account. That’s why it’s important to stop before you continue, because you are the essential piece, not only for your business, but essential for your family, friends and, above all, for yourself.
Add value to your business, but without devaluing yourself as a person. Your business image is not always related to your personal image. Create a business model and also create a life model. You are the most valuable piece in your financial growth and in your own life journey.
