Psychological Assessment for Immigration in Boston,

You left your country in search of safety, stability, or new opportunities.

But along the way, difficult experiences may have left deep emotional, psychological, and even physical scars. In many immigration processes, it's not enough to simply tell your story; you need to document the impact it had on you.

That's exactly what psychological assessment does.

Clinical reports that strengthen your process, with technical rigor, cultural sensitivity, and legal strategy.

I offer detailed expert assessments that strengthen processes such as VAWA, Asylum, T-Visa, U-Visa, I-601/I-601A (Extreme Hardship), and SIJS. We work closely with attorneys to ensure that every clinical detail supports the legal argument of your case.

Structure of Our Assessments

Regardless of the format chosen, both assessments are evidence-based, include clinical interviews, standardized psychological tests, and direct coordination with your legal team. There is no right or wrong choice; there is the choice that best suits your current situation and the needs of your case.

1. Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation (In-Depth)

The comprehensive evaluation is recommended for cases that require depth. Throughout a more detailed process—with interviews typically ranging from 2 to 4 hours (or longer, as needed)—the lived experience is no longer just a sequence of events, but becomes organized in a way that carries both emotional and clinical meaning. The client is able to structure experiences that are often fragmented, while this narrative is transformed into a robust document (generally between 25 and 40 pages) that clearly articulates symptoms, functioning, and life history with technical precision. The evaluation establishes a consistent causal nexus, integrates validated clinical instruments, and guides the reader through the most relevant aspects of the case.

Additionally, the document includes a strategic summary at the beginning, highlighting the key findings of the evaluation—allowing the reader to quickly identify the most critical points before engaging with the full analysis. This structure facilitates readability and ensures that the strongest aspects of the case are not lost within the document.

2. Focused and Strategic Evaluation (Objective)

The direct & strategic evaluation maintains the same clinical foundation, but in a more focused format. Through a detailed pre-assessment questionnaire, the process begins with organized information, allowing the interview (typically between 1 to 1.5 hours) to be guided toward the central points. This makes the experience more efficient and intentional, while still resulting in a concise document (approximately 10 to 15 pages) that clearly presents symptoms, psychological impact, and current functioning. The evaluation is designed to be objective in its reading, relevant in its content, and aligned with what needs to be understood within the context of the case.

Strength of the process
Both strengthen the case. The ethical and clinical rigor is the same.
